The Queen's Observatory is equipped with all the instrumentation required for CCD observing from the top of Ellis Hall. The telescope is remotely controlled from the main control room taking scientific grade astronomical images, many of which are showcased in the online gallery. The CCD is mainly used by the University's astronomy students, but the observatory is available to all local Queen's users, students and faculty alike. A user's guide has been compiled to facilitate the operation of the telescope and the CCD.
